TYLER FEATHERSTONE

Vice-President, Operations

“Working in the energy industry with A&B means being part of something that’s always growing, taking on challenges and getting the chance to meet new people.”

If you ask Tyler to give you the simple explanation of what he does for work, he might say that he gets to play in a big sandbox with big toys. A slightly more accurate explanation is that he oversees and optimizes all operational aspects of A&B’s activities. That means Tyler is the guy who ensures everything at A&B is running efficiently, complies with safety guidelines and meets quality standards.

Tyler started his career at A&B as a labourer in 2003. He worked his way up the company through various roles, from Foreman to Superintendent to Construction Manager, then Divisional Construction Manager. He has been A&B’s Vice-President, Operations since March 2023.

Tyler, who’s Métis, also manages A&B’s Featherstone Mentorship Program (named after him), which provides on-the-job experience and training in the energy industry for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples. Tyler provides valuable mentorship to program participants.

When he’s not busy with work, Tyler enjoys ice fishing, exploring trails in his side-by-side off-road vehicle, and supporting various animal rescue organizations in Central Alberta.
