Our most sincere gratitude to our co-workers, family members, colleagues, and the team at ROSEN who contributed to our blanket and warm casual clothing drive. We were blown away by everyone’s generosity and the number of items donated, thank you for supporting community!

Members of our team recently delivered the items to the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC). Thank you again for making this initiative a great success

Visit with A&B team members at the National Coalition of Chiefs (NCC) Clean Energy Summit, 8:00am – 5:00pm on February 17th, 2023, at Tsuut’ina Nation’s Seven Chiefs Sportsplex & Jim Starlight Centre. Learn more about the NCC and the summit here.

In 2013 Arnett & Burgess Pipeliners created a formal employment mentorship training program to provide on-the-job training, and hands-on-pipeline construction work experience for Indigenous community members interested in working in the energy industry.

“What a rewarding experience this has been, managing a program that connects people from diverse communities, building relationships and embracing reconciliation. I’m proud to be part of this ongoing cultural engagement, that has always been part of the A&B tradition.” Steve Lemon, A&B Indigenous Liaison

A&B is exhibiting at the BATC Atoskewin Urban Blitz and Career Fair on Thursday, February 2, 2023, 10:00am-4:00pm at the Western Development Museum.

We look forward to meeting attendees and discussing our Featherstone Mentorship Program and opportunities in the energy infrastructure construction industry. Click here for more information.

Arnett & Burgess Pipeliners is kicking off 2023 with a continued focus on community and supporting our neighboring Indigenous communities. While delivering items that were generously donated in support of our winter clothing and accessories drive last December, we learned of additional items that are continually in high demand; blankets and warm casual clothing (ie. hoodies, sweatshirts, etc.). We would like to again ask for your help in supporting a blanket and warm casual clothing drive; all sizes and genders are welcome!

We will be accepting donations at our Calgary office until Wednesday, February 15th – contact us at 403-265-0900 with any questions. Please ensure that that all donated items are laundered and in good condition.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

From our family at Arnett & Burgess Pipeliners to you and yours, wishing you a safe and happy holiday season!

As part of our 3rd Annual Winter Clothing Drive, A&B team members organized and delivered winter clothing and accessories to the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary (AFCC), Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society and Grande Prairie Friendship Centre.  A few of our team members had the opportunity to tour the AFCC and learn more about the important and impactful work being done there. We were overwhelmed by the spirit of generosity and express our sincere gratitude to all that contributed.  Special thanks to our colleagues ROSEN and Northlink Supply for helping to make this initiative a great success!

Today, we celebrate Terry Brodie and his 45 years of dedication and hard work at Arnett & Burgess Pipeliners, an incredible career milestone! Terry joined the A&B family in 1977 as a labourer and worked his way to an apprentice welder, to welder and today is a Senior Construction Manager. Terry has been a mentor to many apprentices and is a respected professional pipeliner, advisor, manager, and friend; he always makes time for a friendly chat. Congratulations Terry and thank you for your commitment and for helping to build the infrastructure that we all rely upon!

Congratulations to Chase Rombough and Kyler Bergseth of Sedgewick, AB, whom are our 2022 Sedgewick High School Scholarship recipients. This year we decided to award to two graduates based on their desire to be part of the energy industry in a critical profession– heavy duty mechanics. Without good mechanics safety, reliability and productivity is at risk.

Kyler enjoys working on trucks, tractors, and other equipment, and has always wanted to be a Heavy-Duty mechanic like his dad.

Chase grew up watching his father work in the energy industry as an excavator operator. He shared a history paper on Natural Gas with us that taught us a few things and noted NG’s technological evolution, and everyday importance to our lives.

Both graduates come from a long line of professional pipeliners including, dads, uncles, a cousin, sister, and a brother, all of whom have worked at A&B. We are so proud that these young graduates are amongst our roster of multigenerational families. Chase’s dad taught Steve Arnett how to operate equipment, and Kyler’s dad runs our Heavy Duty Mechanics.

Both Rombough and Bergseth currently work for Arnett & Burgess and plan on attending Lakeland College’s Heavy Equipment Technician’s Course in January.
