Remembrance Day is a solemn occasion that holds immense significance in our hearts. It is a day to reflect, honour, and remember the sacrifices made by our veterans.
The freedoms we cherish today were secured through the sacrifice and dedication of those who served, and we honour our heroes. Their legacy reminds us to strive for a world of peace and understanding.
Please take a moment to express your gratitude to veterans and their families whenever possible. Even a simple “Thank you for your service” can mean the world to someone who has sacrificed so much for our nation.
On #IndigenousVeteransDay, we pay tribute to the brave men and women who served our country with unwavering dedication and valor.
Indigenous veterans remind us that the commitment to peace, freedom, and justice is a shared responsibility that transcends cultural backgrounds. Their bravery on the battlefield and their ongoing contributions to their communities are a testament to the enduring spirit of reconciliation and unity.

It’s important to remember safety whether that includes trick-or-treating with family and friends or attending a party, and by following these simple tips, we can keep everyone safe:
πPlan your trick or treating route ahead of time and stick to well-lit areas with plenty of people around
πWear costumes that are visible to drivers
π Avoid costumes that could cause tripping or obstruct vision
π Only visit houses that have the lights on
π Carry a flashlight or glow sticks to help you see and be seen
π Check all candy before eating it, and avoid homemade treats
π Designate a sober driver or plan to use a ride-sharing service if attending a party

Recently, we had the privilege of participating in a fundraiser event organized by the Hockey Heroes Society, a non-profit organization that supports helping families with financial challenges purchase sports equipment for their children.
The fundraiser event included a golf tournament, an alumni hockey game, and a fundraiser dinner. We were thrilled to participate in all three activities and contribute to this noble cause. We got to play alongside several alumni players, including Craig McTavish, and one of our employees, Griffin Bargholz, even got to try on the Stanley Cup and Rookie of the Year rings!
Through our participation in the event, we were proud to be able to assist in this endeavour and help deserving children gain access to the benefits of sports.
As we welcome the fall season, we are reflecting on this past summer – it was one for the books! We were elated to be involved in and support a variety of client and charity golf tournaments across the province by way of event participation and sponsorships – you may have seen our BBQ trailer traveling highway number 2! Thank you to our clients and friends in the energy industry for having us. We look forward to doing it again in 2024.
The #NationalDayforTruthandReconciliation and #OrangeShirtDay take place this Saturday, September 30 ~ a commemorative day intended to raise awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of residential schools.
The orange shirt symbolizes the stripping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is vital to the reconciliation process.
We commit to continuing to build meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities and support new opportunities to create social and economic value within these communities.
