Our first commitment is to the safety and protection of our employees, the public and the environment.

No job is so urgent that it cannot be done safely.


We have established a safety program certified by the Alberta Construction Safety Association. Continuous improvements to our safety program through management and employee participation is a constant focus, and  monitored through monthly meetings and internal and external audits.  Currently we are introducing Behavioral Based Safety to our safety program.

  • Lowest Non-Compliance score ever awarded by our auditor for most recent National Safety Code - Transport Canada Audit
  • NSC Carrier Profile is among best 10% in our industry
  • EnCana Bighorn South Safety Incentive Program for 2008 Q1 – 106/110 achievement
  • Petro Canada Wild Cat Hills Audit score of 94% was the highest of Alberta Contractors and second highest overall

Ground Disturbance

Our Employee Safety Manual includes a Ground Disturbance Code of Practice, Job Safety Analysis (JSA-PL-009) - Excavating Underground Facilities for crossings or tie-ins, and Safe Job Procedure (SJP-PL-009) - Excavating Underground Facilities for crossings or tie-ins.  These were developed to help our employees safely excavate where underground facilities may be present.

All personnel who are involved in the excavation of underground facilities must hold a current industry recognized Ground Disturbance Level II certificate.
